I am becoming confused about how Portage 2.1.1 interacts with the xorg-x11 ebuild.
I followed the instructions to migrate to Xorg 7.0 a couple of months ago. I have set in /etc/make.conf:
INPUT_DEVICES="keyboard mouse synaptics"
VIDEO_CARDS="radeon vesa fbdev"
Now when I "emerge -puv world", I am told that it wants to emerge both xorg-x11 and xorg-server. Under xorg-server, it lists the correct input devices and video cards. But under xorg-x11, it seems to indicate that I have selected no input devices or video cards. Is this normal?
(By the way, what do the percentage signs and asterisks mean on the use flags??)
Thanks,
Hans |
