I cannot reasonably make an image of Windows to put on my Gentoo drive for its DLLs, but I can copy directories out of Windows 2000 to the drive for the needed DLLs. I don't want to copy everything because of space constraints, so my question is: Which directories are important to WINE and most Windows apps? I figure that winnt\system32 is, but what others? _________________ The greatest deeds are still undone, the greatest songs are still unsung... |

Wine doesn't get along well with native Win2k dlls. If you really want to try, all the dlls listed with "native" first under [DllOverrides] in your ~/.wine/config file are your best bets. Native comctl32, commctrl, and shlwapi are the most likely to work. Your mileage may vary. |
