Just grab another kernel ebuild and modify it, that should not be too hard |

I know many people would like to have for example Reiser4 or Suspend2 in the kernel, but otherwise plain vanilla. No ricing, just some additonal modules. For now I've patched gentoo-sources myself with the patches I need... That works and isn't too difficult, but still it would be easier if a kernel with those patches could be emerged. |
Have you tried beyond-sources? It's pretty down-to-earth, but it includes ck scheduler. |

Could you update no-sources to 2.6.20-r2? Thanks.
