Hi,
i wanted to install Gentoo Linux on my AMD Athlon 1800XP but from stage 1 - 3 he always made Problems, like interrupt withaut any message. Just closes the window. The live cd runs nice. Who can help me? |

Mine (I'm actually trying to install Gentoo on a second computer for testing purpose) freeze after entering kernel configuration, I'm setting everythings up with command line installation. It always a solution, if one failed you try the other ... many often manual configuration is the best choice. _________________ Things Fall Apart, The Center Cannot Hold |

Stage 1 installs are deprecated since they have a tendancy to go horribly wrong in many cases, I strongly urge you to try a stage 3 install.
Having said that, it is still possible to install with stage 1. |
