Hi,

on my U60, the gnome volume control applet does not work. It tells me, that

there is no volume control element and/or device.

That's odd, since sound works fine and adjusting the volume using nmixer (comes with mp3blaster package) is no problem.
Does anyone know, how to tell Gnome, that there is volume control element and/or device?
