Hello, i'm a modem (56k :/) user.. and i'd like to use Gentoo.. but i don't want to downloading 100's of megabytes during the install.. is it possible to install them from a CD-R or something..?
I need some help here
Ps.. I'm from sweden.. so please don't complain about my English Ds. |

If you mean download them at work / somewhere else, then search the forums, this question is already answered.

If you mean something else your out of luck, for gentoo you need access to a fast network connection.

Gentoo is more of a distro suited for those with a fast internet connection due to all the downloading.
However if you have access to a fast internet connection like lx said, it is possible to download the files there, then burn them to CD. Then you can do compiling at home. _________________ Postcount ++ |
