Gentoo on PowerMac G3: kernel access of bad area, sig 11

I tried to install Gentoo on my old G3. I downloaded the install ppc32 install cd. after booting with pressed 'c' i see the console where i started the installation with the command "ppc32". everything seems to work until after "Coldplugging pci devices [ok]" the following error occurs:
