enemy teritory problems.. (sound and punkbuster)

I'm experiencing problems with et and need some help configuring it.

I have uppgraded to the latest pb client by downloading pbsec.htm from punkbusters site and placed it in /opt/enemy-teritory/pb/ and still I get that 20004 kick message from all servers..

Also I want et to use alsa so that I can listen to music while playing. I followed the guide on the wiki site http://gentoo-wiki.com/TIP_ALSA_with_Qu ... -Territory and it won't work :(

Help please.

I do not know about this kicking... - you are shure you run a compatible version? Several mods still need to have 2.60b servers with 2.60 clients. Newer client versions have errors/bugs whatever...

For the sound issue: There are several special sound chips which have different channel-management or something, where this trick with the direct pipe won't work. For example the one in the shuttle SN25P doesn't work, whilst the same setup on some ASUS board did in my case...

try as root run:

Code: Select all

cd /opt/enemy-territory/pb
chmod +x pbweb.x86
./pbweb.x86
This is the best way to upgrade all pb files.
