|
|
I downloaded the LiveCD because the computer I'm wanting to install Gentoo on currently can't be connected to the internet.
Many of the packages, not sure about what all specific ones, cause the installation to fail.
OpenOfice-binary, KDE, and a few others that I forget the name of cause the installation to fail while emerging.
Most of them attempt to download needed data (I thought the LiveCD was for networkless installs?).
Also, I am using the GUI installer.
Also, I can't seem to get sound to work with my onboard soundcard. I'll get more info on the soundcard later.
Any suggestions? |

tenchiko,
What is an exact error you get during installation?
Is it just hangs, or you get the compiler error? Or something is blocked?
Also what is your hardware configuration? And what LiveCD did you use?
Thank you. |
