Meine Festplatte hat neuerdings ein problem (dateisystem ist in ordnung). Anscheinend ist da ein fehlerhafter sektor. jedoch liefert badblocks dazu nichts und meldet dazu auch keinen fehler. jedenfalls wird dadurch auch DMA abgeschaltet...

Wie kann ich die probleme beheben?

Hm.. emerge dir mal die smartmontools und schau mit dem Programm smartctl mal die Fehlermeldungen deiner Festplatte durch...
Vielleicht findest du ja was brauchbares!

Dagegen spricht aber eigentlich, dass immer der gleiche Sektor gemeldet wird...

Indem du denjenigen fragst, der als einziger WIRKLICH Ahnung von deiner Festplatte hat. Den Festplattenhersteller ;-)

Oder anders gesagt:

1.) Webseite des Festplattenherstellers besuchen.
2.) Auf Utilities/Download Site gehen und HD Diagnose Tool runterladen.
3.) Floppy mit Diagnosetool booten.
4.) Quickcheck durchführen. Wenn der nichts ausgibt, advanced check durchführen.

Wenn des Herstellers Tool einen Fehler ausgibt und dich fragt ob er es in Ordnung bringen soll, JA wählen. Wenn das nicht geht ist die HD am abrauchen.

Selbstnatürlich machst du vorher ein Backup, bevor du mit den Tools was "reparierst".

also schätzt ihr alle einen fehler der mit sofwaretools in linux nicht behoben werden kann?

noch eine triviale frage: wie mace ich ein image auf eine floppy? mit dd?

Du meinst jetzt für die HD Tools des Herstellers?? Nun, da wirst du leider ein Windows oder Wine bemühen müssen :( Meistens sind das exe Dateien die man da runterlädt, welche dann ein Image auf die Floppy schreiben.

Naja, wenn es ne .iso ist, dann gehe ich davon aus, dass es sich um eine bootbare CD handelt. Demnach solltest du dafür sowas wie cdrecord verwenden. Wenn es sich aber doch um eine Floppy handelt, dann kannst du es mit dd machen.
