I'm installing gentoo on a new machine, and as I type in emerge -e system, it is trying to pull in Sun's jdk as the defaault virtual. The problem is that I dont want to use suns jdk. It is a pain in the ass. With blackdown it gets pulled in on its own, and it just works. With sun I have to go to there site, down load it then figure out why everything that depends on java is failing to compile. With blackdown I emerge it set it as the vm using java-config and everything works. So I was wondering how to make blackdown the default virtual? |

Just add the following line to /etc/portage/profile/virtuals: Code: | virtual/jre dev-java/blackdown-jre | If you also want blackdown as your JDK (it sucks, but it's your choice), add Code: | virtual/jdk dev-java/blackdown-jdk | to the same file. _________________ Cómo usar Portage correctamente |
