Well... the topic is missleading. pbbuttonsd works wonderfully in gentoo, but it broke the volume/brightness/eject keys in MacOSX. fresh install of OSX.2, now fully upgraded OSX.2.5, and the works. However the keys in question still don't function. The box is a Powerbook G4 550mhz, pre-DVI post-GigE. If anybody has any ideas I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Try the combination Fn+[volume|brightness|eject] in OSX. This works for me (and I actually prefer it this way) but I have no idea how to reverse the changes.

Yeah, I had found that, should have encluded that in the original post. it's not BAD, but I don't use the F-keys for anything, so I'd rather them be at the normal position. I've come up with the idea of telling pbbuttonsd to not change them, then see if it works, but I don't have the HDD I need to try that with me. =-[
I should have known better then to leave the house without my Gentoo Live CD. Go figure.
Thanks though. |
