Hey guys, I've been away for a real long time.
ANYWAY
I have Counter Strike Anthology, and just before yesterday it was fine
now today and yesterday, when I attempt to join a server, it says "Your version does not match the server, please restart Counter-Strike and try again." I restart CS and the same problem, what do I do? |

You can check that Steam is keeping it up-to-date via the "Updates" tab of the properties dialog of the game. It should be set to "Always keep this game up to date".
If it is already up to date then does this happen on every server? It could just be that the server you are trying to play on needs updating. |

Ok, this game is really irritating me. I re-installed CS and it still comes up with the same damn problem. It's already updated ( already was updated ) and it still doesn't. |

I've re-installed Steam, and CS with the CD. All servers don't work. Can somebody please help me? |

Try deleting ClientRegistry.blob and see if that fixes the problem (you'll lose your favorites though) |

I actually setup a CS 1.6 server on another machine yesterday for LAN play and have this same (or similar) issue. The strange thing is that it only happens the first time I try and connect and after that I can connect to the server normally.
Edit: Ok, forget that, i'm now experiencing the same behaviour as you - i'm unable to get into my own server no matter how many times I try. Both server and client are definately up-to-date.
Edit2: And now I just got back in without changing anything. It seems very random for me |
