Happy "we kicked England's ass" day!
But seriously, I still get all sappy about this holiday. It reminds me of the freedoms we used to have and of what the revolutionaries of those times fought for. Reminds me that some things still are worth fighting for.

I sometimes wonder what the Founding Fathers would think of the present situation and how the US Governement is taking away rights and spying on us. I don't think they would approve.
Anyway, happy 4th of July and stuff.

It's unfortunate! Firecrackers are illegal in Virginia, DC, and Maryland!
(but lots of other fireworks are legal, so hey!)
