hey souteneur, welcome to the forum
I assume you're using the livecd with the graphical installation interface.
a really good way to learn and install gentoo is to actually do it yourself - that is, to install the system manually.
download and burn the minimal installation cd, and follow the gentoo handbook.
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/index.xml
once you're finished, you can compile a graphical display manager and configure your graphics settings.
have fun! |

Sorry for being a thread necromancer, but this is exactly the problem I have too with the Installer, so I'd be happy to get a solving answer for this problem.
@cyblord: While I agree, that the manual install is a good way to learn (I did it myself), the live-cd is a quick way to get into Gentoo without much problems. So unless it's a no-no on this board to give Live-CD help, I can't really understand your post. It doesn't help to solve the problem at hand in any way. |

I had the same issue a few minutes ago when Installing from LiveCD2006.1 and resolved it by selecting those 2 option in Stage
1) GPR Install and/or 2) Dynamic.
Here is a useful screenshots of the installation process from agaffney's devspace, the 7th scree is the one for Stage.

Hope this helps. |
