D4MN! SH1T! FVCK!
It's been MONTHS since I've done any good programming in Mono/Gtk#! First I go to boot camp (three months), then I get a hernia at the end of that and have to stay in a Marine holding platoon while that gets fixed (three more months), and now I'm finally going to Marine Combat Training at Camp Lejeune, NC (another month), THEN I've got MOS school at Twentynine Palms, CA!
When in HELL am I ever going to have time to buy a system, install Gentoo on it (takes me about a week), and have fun with it?!

Don't judge people too fast i mean...not everybody has the opportunity of doing anything else than joining the army, after all it pays the bills.

They all have choices, and I don't think it's mostly "afro-americans" (which I assume to mean African-Americans, which I assume to mean Americans who are black). |

Guys, please get back on topic (which was ranting) a bit, we've had plenty of discussions about the US and their army and all that blah already - this is not one of them. Otherwise i'll have to split that stuff off, which is work, and that makes me irate. And we really don't want that, do we?

If you have some Gentoo skills, isn't there any way the army can make use of them in some way? I know you've got this training, but whatever your career is, I'd think it'd be good to try to at least have it have something to do with something you like. I'm thinking maybe in terms of cyber warefare, or just working on some application for them? I know it's a bit of a long shot, but it'd be worth looking into. |

Then you understand wrong. 16% of the Army is black, 78% is white. The rest is split between all other ethnicities. I take it you're a subscriber to the Rangle Rants.

The Army is made up of those who ASVAB scores are significantly higher. Score low enough and you're shuffled of to a Marine recruiter.
