|
|
Last night the battery cable from my laptop fell out and I guess it ran out of juice.
I woke up to find the machine off so I turned it on and plugged it up and noticed that
one of my sylpheed xml's was deleted but I can't remember which one and I don't see
any log files for fsck which is most important.
Any ideas?
Thanks. |

check the lost+found directory on the affected partition (if it is ext2/ext3) _________________ Unanswered Post Initiative | Search | FAQ

Hmm.. there's nothing in that directory but luckily I use mkstage4 every few days so I have the file.
Too bad I don't know which one it was ;( |

That's why I wrote a program for my laptop....battery life < 5% then shutdown. No more corruption of files. |

You might also want to consider enabling full journaling. See codergeek42's excellent ext3 filesystem tips post. |
