I recently obtained an old Ultra 2 Creator 3D from my boss and am attempting to install Gentoo. Ive only installed Gentoo one other time before however, so I am still rather new to this. So far everything is going well enough, and im using the, what i assume are standard, setting for the kernel found in the handbook. But durring compile it quits after 3 errors:
| Code: |
cp: cannot stat 'rd.o": No such file or directory
make[2] : *** [_modinst__] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory '/usr/src/linux-2.4.32-sparc-r4/drivers/block'
make[1]: ***[_modinst_block] Error 2
there is then one more error 2 and the compile stops. Did I configure the kernel wrong, or is there somethine going on out of my control? |
