Just when I thought that I had this part of it working...
I rebuilt my kernel and - according to http://kryo.se/e250/sparcraid.txt the instructions I used to get it all going, only needed to re-run silo if I did this. Silo looks like it's doing the right thing but, when I reboot:
Code: |
SILO Version 1.4.13
No config file loaded, you can boot just from this command line
...
|
Yes, I can. I just say boot: vmlinux root=/dev/md0 and off it goes.
If I do boot: cat /etc/silo.conf it does so, no problems.
This is my silo.conf:
Code: |
partition = 1
root = /dev/md0
timeout = 50
image = /boot/vmlinux
label = Linux
image = /boot/vmlinux-2.6.16.14
label = Previous

Any ideas? Seems like those of us doing Gentoo on Sparc get far more of a challenge than the x86 guys! _________________ Matthew Smith |
