Hi, recently I came across this very annoying situation. In 64bit mode accerelation works without problems, but when I try any 32bit application that requires direct rendering it usually fallbacks to mesa. I have ati card and I'm using 8.24.8 drivers. This is the output that I get whenever I try to run:
Code: |
libGL: XF86DRIGetClientDriverName: 8.24.8 fglrx (screen 0)
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri//fglrx_dri.so
libGL error: dlopen /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri//fglrx_dri.so failed ( /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri//fglrx_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so
libGL error: dlopen /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so failed (/usr/lib64/xorg/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64)
libGL error: unable to find driver: fglrx_dri.so
libGL: XF86DRIGetClientDriverName: 8.24.8 fglrx (screen 0)
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri//fglrx_dri.so
libGL error: dlopen /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri//fglrx_dri.so failed ( /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri//fglrx_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

I double-checked and the fglrx_dri.so is indeed in /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri/ and it is definately 32bit library. I don't know when it stopped working cause I played a bit with ati-drivers-8.25 and recompiled my whole system with -Bdirect, but I don't suppose this is the problem. One strange thing I've noticed is that in /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/opengl/xorg-x11/extensions there is no libglx.so (there is only libglx.a). But it's only my guess. Anyone who could help me out there ... I really need Warcraft 3 |

To anyone having the same problem.... Well the issue was due to the fact that LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH was wrongly
set, so I changed it back in /etc/env.d/09ati to the:
Code: |
LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH="/usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri:/usr/lib64/xorg/modules/dri"
|
and everything works just fine |
