Hello everybody,

i'm tring to install gentoo 2006.0 with the liveCD but i get this error:

Somebody any idea how to help me?

p.s i'm not very handy with Linux so be patient with me pls ;)

Yes do a manual install :D

Hey just jokeing :D

But it might be fun ,I found it more intresting doing the manual install.

uuh, if you're "not very handy with linux", i'd suggest ubuntu instead of gentoo. i know a lot of people say you'll learn lots using gentoo, but i'd rather suggest you get ubuntu and get used to things first, then try to hack it, then try to go for gentoo...

but if you really wanna try gentoo, the graphical installer is known to be broken, so the manual approach is the only way to go, really.

Installer suck's
Get a good copy of the handbook and try again.
"Gentoo 2006.0 Universal install CD" or if you have a fast internet connection "minimal-CD"and download newest portage.

I have installed gentoo 2005.1 once, that was easyer to install than this grafical version of gentoo 2006.0. I wanted to use this new version but it did went wrong , ill try the manual version like 2005.1.
