Hi,
I compleated installing Gentoo, but I still need some basic things. I have a few questions:
1. Besides livecd-tools, wpa_supplicant, xorg-x11, gnome, xscreensaver, gamin, and nvidia-glx, what do I need to get my computer to a similar state to the LiveCD boot? Are Firefox and Open-Office available in portage? What are the basics?
2. I have some problems with my network. How can I get my LAN Ethernet connection on eth1 to automaticly load without net-setup (the reason I am emerging the entire livecd-tools package)?
Thanks,

To search for programs in portage go to Fresh ebuilds

From Gentoo Handbook:
Code: | rc-update add net.eth1 default |
