|
|
I have a metallic unaudible sound when running Doom3-demo.
Here is some output from konsole:
Code: | snd_pcm_writei short write: 1012 out of 1024
snd_pcm_writei short write: 1012 out of 1024doom3-demo +set s_alsa_pcm plughw:0
idAudioHardwareALSA::Write: 4096 frames overflowed and dropped

After some Googling, I got this link:
http://zerowing.idsoftware.com/linux/doom/#head-8c36163f1dfc3a253ef72c0f821b0b0dd2fc17b1
I tried
Code: | doom3-demo +set s_alsa_pcm plughw:0 |
but nothing change.
I even tried this
Code: | doom3-demo +set s_driver oss |
The sound is good for the intro but as soon as the game begins, the sound become choppy.
This site says to get the snd-ioctl32 module loaded in. But I can't find it in the kernel.
I running a 64 bits system, with emul-soundlibs installed.
I'm with gentoo-sources 2.6.15-r1 with alsa compiled in the kernel.
All my others 32 bits sound applications (flash, mplayer-bin, java) are running without problem.
Is the snd-ioctl32 module still existing in alsa?? _________________ Acer Ferrari 4002 WLMI fr
