pjp's irresponsible locking of a thread that he doesn't agree with is just rediculous. It was locked for personal reason against the subject matter and "I'd imagine the other was locked for something similar." shows a lack of respect for the forum users.
The subject was meant to be emotive and since there hasn't been an emotive discussion on these forums for some time i felt it was time to have another decent debate considering there are a whole load of different users with a variety of differing views on the boards since the other thread was locked 2 years ago.
It sees sensible then to get others views on the subject rather than act on the the blinkered view of one "Gun totin' republican's" ideals which the thread in question seeks to show are unrealistic and to the detriment of his society.
If he has a response then the proper action is to post his views in it not take the easy way out.
If the title or first post is considered too provocative then it is always possible (and I would) to change them. |

Also does this mean we are not allowed to talk about gun control? The old thread was locked, the new thread was locked... Seems like this is a discussion that we are not allowed to have.
There are 3 ways that this should have been dealt with:
1) If it is a duplicate then we should have been directed to one on the same subject matter so the discussion can continue.
2) If the title is too provocative then a different one should have been arranged
3) If none of the above then it should have been left as-is. |

Uhm, hello?! Did you even _read_ my post? It was not locked on a "personal whim." _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

| There was nothing wrong with the subject matter, it may have been a duplicate but the previous one was locked, you didn't ask me too alter it in any way therefore the only option left was you did it because you wanted to, therefore a personal whim. |
