Installing on UltarSparc

Hi all, and good daytime!

I`m installing 2006.1 on Sun UptraSparc SunFire V100.
It`s all right, but.... The install procedure stops after mesage "Coldplugging pci devices...."

And it`s all.... a silence....

Do anybody have some solves?

Hi and welcome to the forums.

You can try passing some parameters to the kernel. On the boot menu press F1 or F2, can't remember the option, to see the available options. Common options include gentoo acpi=off, gentoo-nofb acpi=off noapic and gentoo-nofb acpi=off noapic nodetect.

PS - You might have a better chance of getting an answer in the Gentoo on Sparc forum. I'm going to ask a moderator to move the thread there.
