Doing a bit of examination in /usr/lib (looking for unresolved dependencies) I noticed /usr/lib/libtk.a is a broken symlink.
Code: |
file /usr/lib/libtk.a
/usr/lib/libtk.a: broken symbolic link to /usr/lib/libtk8.3.a
I unmerged tk and it removed the broken link. I reemerged it, and the broken symlink returned. Should it be linked to libtkstub.a or libtkstub8.3.a by any chance?
I looked it bugzilla but it isn't there....should I file this as a bug or is it known about? |

The ebuild packages links it, so maybe tk was changed and the ebuild contians an error. But on my system its also a broken link, maybe the lib wasn't build. Maybe you should file a bug report. Just tried and you need to do configure --disable-shared in order for it to build libtk.a, so the link is correct but its just not build in the emerge and I think it can safely be removed from the ebuild or the ebuild is incorrect (not build libtk.a).
