Hi all,
I've been trying to install a copy of hamachi ( [url] www.hamachi.cc[/url] on my file server to create a shareable network with my friends, anyhow I've read the hamachi README and followed their instructions but I'm having some problems with starting the hamachi service.
I installed vtun for (tun/tap) applications and running the 'tuncfg'
then mkdir /dev/net
then mknod /dev/net/tun c 10 200
after that hamachi start gives the the errors :
| Code: | 07 21:03:38.250 [ 6393] tap: bad response from tuncfg - 02000013
07 21:03:38.250 [ 6393] open('/dev/net/tun') failed with 19 (No such device)

anyhow I'm stuck now that it won't start and I can honestly say I have no experience with tun/tap devices,

It works for me in gentoo, you have to compile the kernel with tun support. look under:
device drivers / network / universal tun support
