about:unknown group plugdev

I followed the doc on www.gentoo.org about "kde enviromnet setup", and I emerged hald and dbus, but when I add my account to the group plugdev, it report that unknown group. Of cause my flash disk can not auto mount.
Why? I don not know. Please help me.

Just use the command 'groupadd' ... more info provided by 'man groupadd'

Many things under gentoo I do not know clearlly, I need read more man xxxx

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Duplicate Threads in favour of useradd: unknown group plugdev.
