This is probably quite a simple question: How is it possible that emerge can unmerge and update a lib (let's say glibc) WHILE it is used? Thanks

Because when you execute a program, it's loaded into memory, and the binary and libraries don't need to be looked at again. _________________ Man must shape his tools lest they shape him.
