Quick tip for a replacement lpr.

Go to /usr/bin/ and edit a file called lpr

put in :

pdq -Pprinter $1

where printer is the name of your printer. Chmod +x /usr/bin/lpr

That's it. Now you can directly print using mozilla, acroread, etc. Quick and easy...

That's a good tip thanks. :)

Having just got a Kyocera FS-1010 that comes with a PDQ driver, I installed PDQ (never heard of it before now). Using your lpr tip has saved me having to go around all my applications changing settings while I remember. Now I can just change as I go along, and not worry if I forget some. :)
