|
|
Hi,
I want to separate global from program specific shortcuts.
Global shortcuts should beginn with the modifier key sequence Alt+Ctrl+Shift.
But well, its annoying having to press four buttons.
So I converted the caps_lock key which original function only bugs me to a meta modifier key.
To let Caps_Lock emulate Alt+Ctrl+Shift add the the following to your ~/.Xmodmap
Code: | ! ** remove Lock from Caps_Lock
remove lock = Caps_Lock
!
! ** make Caps_Lock emulate Ctrl+Alt+Shift
add Control = Caps_Lock
add Shift = Caps_Lock
add mod1 = Caps_Lock |
to use the defined keymappings, one has to run
(either include it in your ~/.bashrc or run it from the kde or gnome autostart).
Have fun! _________________ Got a question? - http://justfuckinggoogleit.com/
