Please state that on the bug, where the devs will see it.

So wget thought it suceeded, but actually it had just downloaded the forbidden page.

I was thinking about reporting that on bugzilla, but a glance through /usr/lib/portage/pym/portage.py from portage-2.1_pre9-r4 shows that it will automatically regrab files which don't match the manifest. It's only failing for you because you're downloading a new file which doesn't have a manifest entry yet.
Code:
verified_ok,reason = portage_checksum.verify_all(mysettings["DISTDIR"]+"/"+myfile, mydigests[myfile])
if not verified_ok:
   print reason
   writemsg("!!! Previously fetched file: "+str(myfile)+"\n")
   writemsg("!!! Reason: "+reason[0]+"\n")
   writemsg("!!! Got:      %s\n!!! Expected: %s\n" % (reason[0], reason[1]))
   writemsg("Refetching...\n\n")

i tried 1.2.1 (installed per installer, not the ebuildpatch).

i always get an segmentation fault if i run the quake4-smp AND set r_useSMP "1" while connecting to an internetserver.
but if i create a server for myself it works fine (even the quake4-smp with r_useSMP "1") and i get high fps.

consoleoutput says only SMP Enabled or something and then segmenteaion fault.

with r_useSMP 0 it runs fine (but much slower).

has anyone problems like that?

i have intel P4 with HT and nvidia card

thank you nukem.

the article says:
Quote:
When attempting to connect to a multiplayer server with the quake4smp binary, the game with v1.2.1 is known to produce a segmentation fault. This issue can be potentially fixed by using the r_useSMP 0 command to disable the SMP feature, and then once connected to server it can be re-enabled.

that isn't true for me. even while connecting with r_useSMP "0" it segfaults, if I turn useSMP on later by hand. I hope id is going to fix it
