Greetings.
I'm trying to install MythTV. It requires various perl modules, and unfortunately I cannot install the XML-Twig ebuild.
Here's the output of it:

I have XML-Parser installed:

My guess is that XML-Twig requires XML-Parser 2.23, nothing else (or no higher..) and XML-Parser 2.23 won't support perl 5.8.0, apparently.
How do I get around this dependency hell? I'll downgrade perl or whatever if needed, but where do I find ebuilds for lower versions of software? (ie perl and XML-Parser)
As a footnote, XML-Parser 2.31 is installed in /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i686-linux/XML/Parser.pm, but when I put this in the inc path it bombs out with some other error.
It seems as though with an up to date system it's not possible to install the Twig ebuild. |
