I know there are plenty of options with acpi (power button stuff.. suspend and all that fun stuff) but all i really want is the powernow ability of my athlon. I've compiled acpi into one of my kernels. Thus when i get into gnome i can pull up the battery monitor and take a look at how much is left and what not.. but if i unplug and replug the power from the wall.. the laptop locks up and cant really do anything but manually shut it down. So aparently i dont know enough about setting up acpi :). I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to a how-to or any other suggestions? all im really concerned with is getting powernow and some battery monitor thing going.. thats all i really need.. i dont need to be all fancy with powering down the laptop with the power button.. just basic stuff :)

Thnx for any help
