Hi,

I have three partitions in a single hard drive, one for boot, other for swap and other for the system.

I would like to increse the size of swap without having to erase the system's partition.

Is there any way of doing that?

Many thx,

GParted is good tool for this
Code:
emerge gparted

or you can use GParted LiveCD - http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php

I've used it several times without problems. But needless to say, it is strongly recommended to backup before you do this.

From GParted FAQ:
Quote:
Is it safe?
Short answer: Yes, it is safe :)
By using the official tools for each filesystem and performing extensive checks before any actual operation i think GParted is as safe as it can/should be.

Of course you have to realize i cannot give any quarantees, so you should probably make a backup of important data before toying with your partitions.
