How do I get PHP 4 or 5 to work with apache2?
Do I just need to edit /etc/conf.d/apache2 and add in:
| Code: | | APACHE2_OPTS="-D SSL -D PHP4" |
Or is there more to it? _________________ Core i7 2.67GHz with 12GB DDR3 RAM. |

Hi,
Yes. But the function depends on some use flags.
Think you have to use one of the mpm flags.
I use mpm-prefork.
So check tha flags on apache.
and you se if any mpm flag is used.
Search the forum for apache php and mpm.
To check the function, make a file like 'test.php'
in that file enter.
Now if you open this in a browser 'http://localhost/test.php' you should
get a page that indicate that it works. |

first off you need to decide which php you are using, 4 or 5, dev-php/php or dev-lang/php respectively, then emerge that, and apache
then you need to set "-D PHP<4,5>" for whichever you chose
as for the mpm flags, i think that if there isnt one set, it defaults to one _________________ http://www.whatsinyourbox.org -- Technology discussion, news, and more. |
