That's right, Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood from Runesoft is in the late stages of being ported to PPC. You can get the demo here. Just follow the instructions.
Currently the full game ships as x86 only, but will install on a PPC machine. A replacement PPC executable will be released on the Runesoft website very soon--hopefully this week. In the future, the game will ship with the PPC executable.
I am not involved the porting effort, I am just passing the information along. I tested the demo and it works here. _________________ --Aaron |

Thanks Aaron for helping to spread the word. We have three other games we will release with Runesoft to Linux on POWER. We will be looking to the Gentoo Community for testing support.
BTW, if you have not joined as a Developer-level Member at Power.org, please do so!

This is nice news... any idea whether Northland will also be ported to linux/ppc? Ah.. or what are the three other games?
Will the linux/ppc version be separate from the linux/x86, or should we buy the Linux version and then we will be able to download a ppc executable?
I'm on the hunt for a couple of games for Linux on my iBook |

I've tried the ebuild, but I get a segmentation fault. I've put the strace output in http://sodki.org/tmp/robinhood_strace.txt. Is there anything else I can do? |
