recommend some financial software?

You know like quicken? What available for linux?

There's GNUCash, GnoFin, Kmymoney, and Grisbi. I haven't tried any of them so can't say which I think is best.

I can recommend GnuCash. Feature tour here:

Importantly, if you've used Quicken, it can import QIF files.

i use enlightenment and dont want all those dependencies. Unless perhaps I should try gnome? hmmm. has anyone used plcash?
