I'd like to install komba2 in order to get a nice samba mounting gui, but the emerge dependency list for komba2 tells me that among a couple of other things, it needs to install qt-2.3.2 and kdelibs-2.2.2. The problem I have, is that I've already got KDE 3 up and running, with qt3 and kdelibs3, and the dependency list has qt2.3.2 and kdelibs-2.2.2 marked as "U", which I understand as "upgrade". Now if I do the emerge for komba, and thus install the older versions of qt and kdelibs, will this overwrite the new versions?

Portage will install them additional to the new versions.
This is need to run KDE2 programms.
Why it is shown as U I don't know, but it was the same by me, and he installed them additional!

Many greetings from Germany,
Julian
