If want to follow the "Gentoo Way" you could start here, if not read the INSTALL file that usually comes with the package, Gentoo it's just Linux, isn't it? _________________ Google, really. |

I learned ebuilds and built my own, since they are fairly simple (although I must say, CRUX ports is about the best quick and painless packaging system I've ever seen). As suggested above, reading http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=1 is a great place to start. _________________ System: predatorbox
