Could you please explain the purpose of this kernel patchset? What is the difference for example to the nitro patchset?

From what I can tell, this is missing all the performance patches from Nitro, but adds two filesystems.

It also includes the Gentoo Sources patches.

To each their own.

Now that there is a new 2.6.15-mm patch released, I'll probably make my own patchset tonight as well.

/end of german part

Yes I will. I'm making a fairly big uber-patchset but I have to make sure everythng plays nice with each other.

I was referring to specific performance enhancements in Nitro. There are tons of CK patchsets.

ide-probe-delay
increase-MAX_MP_BUSSES
increase-firmware-loading-timeout
kmalloc-max
parport-mutex
posix-locks-match
readahead-tune
stack-limit
unmap_vmas-lat
11-usbhid-readd-kconfig.diff
13-config-nr-tty-devices.diff
