First let's make sure your kit is complete. Checking...
Locating common programs...
Checking compatibility between /bin/echo and builtin echo (if any)...
Symbolic links are supported.
Checking how to test for symbolic links...
You can test for symbolic links with 'test -h'.
Good, your tr supports [:lower:] and [:upper:] to convert case.
Using [:upper:] and [:lower:] to convert case.

And then the PC just stays busy, ontil killed...
I have don a search, and came up with
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=26704
witch directed me to
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=26686
That didn't do the job... I still can't emerge perl |

I have a question too.
I have /usr/bin/perl, it works. But portage thinks I don't have PERL installed. I am not allowed to --inject it(!), and my emerge fails with a sandbox warning.
I've tried "emerge regen", and cleaned out var/cache/edb/dep/, but still no go. Could anyone shed some light on this, and how to fix it? Would an output of my sandbox error/log file be helpful?
Here's what I get at the command prompt: Code: | t/pod/special_seqs...................ok
t/x2p/s2p............................ok
All tests successful.
u=1.96 s=0.46 cu=140.11 cs=8.33 scripts=667 tests=68503

NOW SOLVED!
I had to leave "usersandbox" and "userpriv" out of FEATURES in /etc/make.conf, and it worked flawlessly. I'm filing a bug(my first one) now. _________________ C is for Cookies! |
