I would like to use midi sounds with prboom. Timidity works fine and i can play midi sounds with kmid or xmms. Anyway, when i start prboom, there is no music. The start log tells me:

Quote:

R_Init: R_InitPlanes R_InitLightTables R_InitSkyMap R_InitTranslationsTables
P_Init: Init Playloop state.
I_Init: Setting up machine state.
I_InitSound: ALSA lib timer_hw.c:269:(snd_timer_hw_open) extended read is not supported
ALSA lib timer_hw.c:269:(snd_timer_hw_open) extended read is not supported (SNDRV_TIMER_
configured audio device with 1024 samples/slice
I_InitSound: sound module ready
S_Init: Setting up sound.
S_Init: default sfx volume 15

What can I do? I think, because of nostalgy reasons the midi sound of doom I and II is very importand

Thanks for any hints.

Erdie
