emerge silo gives error
says..."ERROR: sys-boot/silo-1.4..9 failed"
"function mount-boot_mount_boot_partition, Line 51, Exitcode 0
"please mount your /boot partition manually!"
When tried to mount the /boot it says does not exist...
plzz help me with the command that would mount the /boot partition.

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Gentoo on Sparc.

Slightly OT, but do you really need ext3 filesystem for /boot? How often do you change files there, so ext3 journal would be really used and useful?
If you needed to specify "-t ext3" while mounting it might as well mean that the kernel you use contains ext3 compiled as a module (very small possibility indeed, but still). OTOH ext2 typically works very well for /boot partitions (as for my x86, amd64 and sparc installs).
