I am trying to install to a pair of 30GB Quantum Drives on an onboard Promise PDC20265 RAID controller. One of these drives, unfortunately is a Fireball Plus LM, which appears to have the notorious firmware bug, but is not being flagged by the Gentoo boot kernel, so I will need to pass it an hdX=noautotune in order to boot. My question is, what is the proper command to do this from the boot: prompt? There is no documentation for passing arguments to the boot kernel.

Thanks.

Bob

In the first prompt after booting the CD, instead of hitting ENTER, type this:
Code:
rescue hdX=noautotune <other options>
