question about amanda

heho.

i got this nice little scsi tape drive and a, hopefully, runnig version of amanda 2.4.4_p3. but after merging the packet i have no example config or something else. so i'm looking for a good tutorial. can somebody help me?

The chapter excerpt document seems to be a bit old, and the Amanda user manual assumes a non-gentoo install. Emerge does not leave any sample config files in /etc/amanda.

I really like the step by step Gentoo handbook, and I'd like to know if there is any documentation like this for Gentoo / Amanda users. Amanda is complex enough to justify a tutorial that takes baby steps.
