Hi all,

I just done an emerge sync followed by an emerge -up system then emerge-u system.

Only one package need updating it was readline or something similar. After the emerge -u I get the message 17 config files in /etc need to be updated.

Doing a find /etc -iname '*_cfg*'

returns 0 files. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

The offending files are probably in subdirectories of /etc. The message from portage is a little unclear about that. As bsolar said, etc-update will help you out.

The filenames begin with a . As in "._cfg000".
