Does the installer say that or do you get this message after you installed gentoo? _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered

| I'm working on two different stations and the gentoo station does not have any printer access. It says that I have screens but they are not configured. How do I configure them? |

after emerging xorg (or gnome), did you do any x configuration at all by running for instance Xorg -configure? _________________ there are pinheads everywhere.

Like zxiiro said, post the output of your X log file:
| Code: |
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
|
If it's on a diff computer, just xfer it over the network via scp or something to the computer you're using to post on. |
