|

Hello all,
So I emerged net-misc/ntp and got the daemon up and running, no problem.
However, I wasn't able to find the man pages installed on my system. man ntpd and the like turned up empty and man -k ntp turned up unrelated stuff [I did a makewhatis first].
So, is the ebuild broken, does the package not contain the man pages [locate did turn up html help], or is my system malfunctioning?
Thanks.
Mark
PS Sorry I don't have color codes. Can't figure out how to get konq to play nicely with them. |

Just compiled it and you're right the pages are missing, they were there when I used debian,........did a quick check of the package and looks like there are no man pages, maybe they are in a seperate source or debian makes its own?
for the site http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~ntp/ :

The NTP documentation is maintained and distributed as HTML.

If you check the website the manuals used by debian are there in HTML...but I couldn't find any buildtool in the Makefile.
