There is a cool new online web-based text RPG called "Kings of Chaos". One must build up an army (by clicking-through an ad link, so the site doesn't go way into debt) and by getting other people to do the same... one can only click through into one's army once every 24 hours. The link to click-through to add to my army is:
http://www.kingsofchaos.com/page.php?id=373071
Make sure you click "Click here to continue." after you get to that first page.
If you want to sign up as an officer (and play the game by building your own army), continue and fill out the form. _________________ Even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day. |

Is this another one of them stupid "games" where we click on your link to increase some count of yours? _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

Well... not really. It's an actual game. However, the method that the site that hosts it uses to -not go into debt- is that they found a very creative way to restrict army size in the game: one can only add a single army unit to their army every 24 hours from a unique IP address. The point is supposed to be to convince as many people as possible (mostly outside of the game) to click on your link to increase the size of your army for you. It's also good advertising for a quickly-growing game. _________________ Even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day. |

Perhaps I'm missing something. Glancing at the FAQ and rules makes it sound like a game exactly as I described. From the Rules: | Quote: | | You build your army by sending people your unique link (found in your profile page). If they click on the link, they will be recruited into your army! | I guess I'm just not seeing where the game is NOT a link-click-to-increase posters army/minions/vampires, etc.
I just thought it was a real game at first. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

At least now I finally have a reason to log into every lab computer on campus at least once a day. Who wants to take bets on whether this will happen? Maybe I could write a script that would do this for me. _________________ if i never try anything, i never learn anything..
